Prospect High School 'Knight Line'

HOME
Fellow Knight Mark McNabb has written a book.
Mark wrote a book called Dell Road. Its a book for
kids & teens.....a ghost story.
It is available online at iuniverse.com.
In a few weeks, it will be on line at B&N,
Amazon, and Booksamilion.
So congrats to you Mark!! We hope
your book is a huge success and this
is just the start of your career as
author :)
A little about the book:
When Jessica discovers that the body found on Dell Road was her father,
she embarks on a paranormal journey to discover the truth about his
town and THEM.
Book Description:
When the body of local legend Peter 'Stinky Pete' Weldon is found in
the middle of the night on the Dell Road bridge, no one in the small
town of Billins, Illinois, is surprised that their local mystery girl
is at the crime scene. The only problem? Elizabeth Finney has been dead
for more than forty years.
Jessica Lyons has been having strange dreams filled with bridges and
ghosts. When she learns that Stinky Pete was her father, she knows she
has to return to her birthplace to face the legends, cryptic history,
and restless spirits of both the town and her own family.
Joining Jessica in a paranormal quest for the truth is Chicago Tribune
freelance writer Connie Danci, along with a motley crew of unlikely
allies. Together, they take on every obstacle, confront every
enemy ”living and dead”and feel every shiver up their spines. They forge
unexpected bonds and make unimaginable discoveries about the infamous
house (and its spooky occupants) at the end of Dell Road as they
finally crack the mysteries that have haunted Billins since the Civil
War.

Again our classmate, Cathering Young, is supplying this information and a little
personal insight.....her friend, Scott Lauer - fellow volunteer & kayaker buddy, an
architect brought this to New York. He was a volunteer with openhouse London and
kept waiting for openhouse to come to New York and when it did not he brought it
here himself. Catherine is a volunteer there too. Scott was the person who told her
about "tent city", where he had been helping when she asked friends in the first days
after 911. She started by working in a tent on the west side highway, this was called
"tent city" before going to work at ground zero. It was especially important to her to
try to help Scott's work on openhouse after 911. openhouse has some really interesting
sites. It really is wonderful how involved Catherine has been; volunteering so much of her time.
She really should be congratulated!!
9/11 Documentary - "The Heart Of Steel"
The Director, Angelo, was a Ground Zero Volunteer with our own Catherine Young.
They worked together at Ground Zero in the same tent at Liberty and West, off the
west side highway. They gave out hard hats, socks and other supplies. During Catherine's interview
for this documentary they had audio & lighting problems and, unfortunately, schedules clashed and they
never got around to shooting another interview. This was according to Angelo, the director.
Her name can be seen at one point on a card hanging on a wall in the documentary tho.
This documentary will screen at The 2006 Tribeca Film Festival!
The venue seats 912
people. Angelo says they are so thrilled.
The following is an excerpt from The Heart Of Steel website:
"A portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Heart of Steel(DVD) support
The September 11th Families Association, a not-for-profit organization, as well as
volunteer-based organizations around the globe in a long-term strategy to encourage
and support citizens who, everyday, anonymously change the world we live in."
Please contact that website to purchase DVD's.

The score - 20 to 14. Prospect against Mount Carmel. Played at 4 p.m. on 11/26 at U of I Champaign. The band and drum line went along with the cheerleaders and the "Blue Men". Alot of juniors on the starting team and they plan on another great year in 2006. They lost their 1st game this year and just kept getting better. The head coach wanted to play 2 more games because he felt the team hadn't even reached their peak performance.
